On
sea and land, the helicopter has become an essential element in
modern military transport and supply. As one of the world’s
largest manufacturers of military helicopter slings, Mil-Base
Industries’ experience, know-how and facilities are second
to none.
- MK-105
(Sling Hoisting)
MOD 0 (6000 lb capacity)
The
MK-105 helicopter sling, used by the Navy primarily for ship-to-ship
ordinance handling, is made of braided nylon rope coated with an
abrasion and moisture resistant jacket of polyurethane. Special
eye splices and non-conductive materials make for a safe durable
sling.
- MK-128
(Sling Hoisting)
4000 lb Capacity
The
MK-128 ordinance handling sling is used with the Navy “LAMPS”
(Light Airborn Multi-Purpose System) helicopter. Similar to the
MK-105, the MK-128 has a rubber bumper guard on each leg.
- 25K Capacity
Helicopter Sling
The
outstanding features of this sling are the encapsulated eye and
the chain grab hook assembly. The army has used this 25K capacity
sling in conjunction with the CH-47D helicopter to transport the
M-198 155mm towed howitzer and ammunition, fuel blivots, D5 bulldozers
and light trucks as well as many other vehicles. The grab hook assembly
allows for fine adjustments in leg length. Also available is a ten
thousand pound capacity (10K) version of this sling.
This
series of pallet lifting slings is primarily used in conjunction
with the MK-105 and MK-128 helicopter slings. Their beaded legs
and special load binders allow for accurate adjustment of the load.
There are three different sizes and each model is color-coded and
equipped with anti-chafe rope guards.
- MK-92

single leg lifting sling made of braided nylon rope coated with
